Nicholas started working for a Greek American lab owner at the age of 16 and from there entered college and finished his degree in Dental Technology. Then, he went to work for another Greek American lab owner where he was given the opportunity to learn many skills. After few years, he developed the confidence to start his own lab, his first client was a Greek American doctor that was student of his grandfather and became a mentor to Nicholas, Dr N Matsakis (A Great Man).

It didn’t take long before the business started growing and from those earnings he expanded to other areas of the country and soon became one of the biggest privately owned dental labs in the country! 

After years of doing Porcelain to Metal restoration, a new technology came out and his lab adapted quickly and began producing zirconia restoration, which gave the laboratory the ability to mass produce at lower costs and more precise quality! The lab has produced over 300 000 successful restorations to both Doctor and Patient’s satisfaction!

After 25 years, he understood, in order to complete, he would have to massively invest. He decided it was the right time to get out, so he sold his business to a group and moved his family to Greece, where he’s brought the same technology and mindset here to Greece. During the first year, he went and met with lab owners to study what is going on here and realized it’s about 10 years behind labs in the USA, and from there, he created a business plan and started Crown Dental. For Nicholas, it’s like being 25 years old again with all the knowledge of a lifetime!!
